Jack
Buckman was born to Rachel and Simon Buckman in Chicago, Illinois.
A bright child in a well-off family, he did well throughout school,
electing to go to Starfleet Academy following high school. At
the Academy, he roomed with Martin McManus, and the two became
good friends, helping each other through Plebe Summer and their
Plebe year. Following the graduation from Starfleet Academy, he
earned the chance to study at Starfleet Medical, after which he
accepted a Marine commission.
