I have wondered through the years about the subject of holiness.
It is pretty apparent that that there is some kind of change in appearence when an average person becomes holy. It is interesting that so many argue about this.
   Coming from a Catholic background the outward appearence of priests and nuns were quite different from everyone else. Why?
Was it because they were holy?
   For many years my residence was very close to Brooklyn, New York. I also worked as a salesmen there. Often I was astonished at the attire of the Jewish community. Especially on the High Holy Days. They also, on a daily basis dress quite differently. Again is this because they are holy?
   Not to far from here in the fine state of Pennsylvania, there is a group of people known as the Amish, they also live and dress quite differently. And is this because, they are holy?
Have you ever noticed the way we dress and conduct ourselves makes a statement? Everyday people dont have to say anything, their actions and dress code say something about who they are and what they believe.
   Actually we are billboards of our innermost feelings. I was a product of the sixties and seventies. Hippies made their statement by growing long hair and beards, wearing bell bottoms,faded jeans and tie dye shirts. a very sloppy attire.
   All that to let everyone know that we were rebellious!

Later came the punk look , spiked hair facial jewelery, dyed pink hair. And now its the X Generations turn , they have used all and anything of what I already have mentioned , plus drooping pants, pierced tongues, countless earrings,and backward caps!
   In upstate New York those that belong or practice the black arts, and or occultic rituals proudly paint their faces white, darken their eyes, and wear black clothing, and black boots, all year round!

   Another example is the "Business look" The Dress for Success crowd. If you are a banker, stockbroker, salesmen, you would wear the navy blue's and grey with wing tipped shoes, hard soles..Its a more classic look and one that says MONEY !!!!
   Its an endless array of statements and dress, such as , the athletic, casual, biker, ministerial, military, racial, prestigeous, royalty, wholesome, sexuel, ect ect....

   With all this going on, many say God dosen't care how we dress. Have you ever heard this before? " Those scriptures don't have to with us today". That was for the people living back in the stone age. I realize this is a very unpopular and touchy subject. I hate to break the news, but God does care!
