I walk down that road, over and over, in daylight and darkness. I proceed from the forest, wishing that I was next to her. The pain and torment of a thousand dead soldiers force onto my shoulders, as I feel like the pain will never end. I wish that this human affliction would just. . . . disappear. This plagues me for that split second, until I see her. Lyn's grave. I walk into the memorial, pushing the rusty gate away as I go to her. Briefly, I see the main statue in the middle of the memorial. I can barely make out the engraving anymore...
I slowly move closer until I can make it all out. Moving my hand across the engraving, I read it to myself....
