06/02/03 Fooling Mother Nature
Got tired of nice weather during the week and messy weekends. Decided to fool Mother Nature and I took the whole day off! It paid off in that I got the Old Man and the Wild Man out ON the water instead of BY the water. After losing our cobia chum bucket, we chased down a school of gulls . . . er, blues . . .
The OLD MAN, finally having his day. Caught most and biggest (I caught first).
The WILDMAN, finally having his day.
Filling up that cooler with fish sandwiches.
The Wild Man claims both of these fish were citations. You can tell, he said, cuz he needed the gaff for one of them and the other . . . well, the other is just huge and ugly and he deserved a citation just for handling it !!!
Besides the blues, croakers (half a cooler full) and that citation Oyster Toad, the Old Man caught this keeper for dinner. The Old Man is the one wearing the green and blue sweatshirt. This is his reward for going to church on Sunday.

I guess Mother Nature didn't like getting fooled. Although she couldn't keep us from the fish, she did keep us from Mr. Striper, Big Trout, and kept the Cobia out of the bay.

On the other hand, The Fat Man, The Old Man and the Wild Man had a great fun day full of beautiful weather, calm seas, and fantastic comraderie.

We'll catch the big ones some messy Saturday when Mother Nature cain't see thru the fog!
