HAWE Technics
The technics used in a HAWE motorcar can be discribed in two words DEAD SIMPLE.  With the use of the following pictures I will explain how a HAWE works
Let us start at the rear of the car. There we find the 220 volts AC mains connection(1) to supply serve the buid in batterycharger(2) Also on the outside is a 24v key operated mainswitch(2)
To power the engines there are 2 batterypacks (1) installed next to it is the build-in charger (2). In front of the charger are 2 main power relays(3) one for forward and one for revere. On the far right you can see the back of the 24 volt main-switch (4)

After turning the mainswitch on you select the direction of travel with the switch in the front board (1) when pressing the footpedal down the  brakes on the engineflange are released when pushing further switch (2) is closed and will power one of the engine relays. Now the engine current is run trough both the engine and a set of resistors. (picure below item 1) When the foot-pedal is pressed fully also switch (3) will be operated and that will close the resitorrelay. (picture below item 2) The relay will shortcut the resistors so the engine is provided with the full power and will gain full power
Again a close up of both the resistors (1) and the resistorrelay (2)
The engine (4) drives the axles through a central axle (1) by means of a double chain. From that axle 2 heavy chains(2 & 3) drive the two axles
