| Memorial Page for September 11, 2001 "A Single Moment" |
| Billowing smoke, shadows and enfolds my body it wraps me into it's cloud and I am lost. I breathe it in and so many visions float around me. What will this bring, what is the cost? Voice so many voices, but not one word is said, and I feel a hand gripping mine. I hear the screaming echo in my head, and this single moment is endless in time. Don't leave me alone here in this night, it's over now, it's gone away, but I am still there. So many faces just disppeared into the light, I cried, you cried, together we stared. Perhaps for the last time ever, we stood there together. Still remember this as everything else fades, in an instant on by one they fell. So many, too many, just one day, the pain welled up, as the moment stilled. The last breath I heard breathed in the dark, a whispered single prayer. So much lost and in my heart, I see it all again sitting here. And this is yours as it is mine, one single moment, forever in time. |
