This letter was ignored as has been all communiques by this writer (and others the writer has talked to) to this so-called official. He is what one must find as distasteful as can be as the "main man" in any State's government. As far as this writer is concerned, the man is no more a representative of the people of Missouri than is Insane Hussein.

Dear Governor Holden,

It is imperative that decisions concerning concealed carry of firearms be based on facts, not suppositions and misleading information presented by mainstream media sources.

A few months ago, I did a comprehensive study concerning the factual effects of concealed carry verses the most stringent controls of firearms as exhibited by Washington, DC, along with other facts concerning firearms and controls from different areas. In my study, I compared the crime rates of Washington, DC, to Missouri (no concealed carry) to Vermont which has the most lenient gun control laws.

I think you would find the resultant article very interesting as it dispels totally the myth that controlling firearms controls crime. If you would like to read the article and check the facts presented for yourself, I will be happy to mail you a copy.
