We have now suffered the collateral damage our fighter and bomber planes have been delivering up to other nations since the Reagan administration. The senior Bush kept it up; Clinton kept it up; and the bush now in office has kept it up.
With all the so-called anti-terrorists measures taken which have effectively removed the rights of the American people, the attack could not be stopped. All the governments snooping on, property seizures of, and other unconstitutional measures taken against peaceful and law-abiding citizens resulted in a helpless government in meeting its constitutional requirement to protect our rights and our shores.
As with nearly all programs of any sort initiated by those who are to serve the duty of protecting our rights and our country, all the measures against terrorism failed. Why?
It is so simple it is because terrorists dont have to follow our government's ridiculous rules. Only law abiding citizens of this country do and that is only because citizens do not have the backbone to stand up to governments infringements on rights. The sorrow of it is that hundreds of innocent people have paid the ultimate price one can pay. And, for that, we should all grieve as we could have stopped it had we stopped the advance of the federal government several generations ago.
What the federal government now will pursue are increased measures of the same it has enacted unconstitutionally for the past several decades. It will further restrict Americans and deprive them of additional freedoms. Is it going to stop terrorism? NO!! Not now, not ever.
You see, some people believe in their beliefs to the degree that they will do what ever they deem necessary to stop the killing and raping of their homelands. It is not collateral damage to them it is murder by a government out of hand. They cannot be deterred from their objectives by this government of ours butting into every American citizens business and removing right after right. It just doesnt work that way. What the hell do they care if the government monitors us and every facet of OUR lives it just leaves them free to plan and carry out plans with little interference.
But, you can be sure that the essentially brain-dead people we have in government will concentrate their efforts on what little remains of our freedoms. They, as they always do, will miss the big picture of what has created the hate for us, the bottom line cause for yesterdays horrendous tragedy. Either that or they could just care less and, in private, just treat the thousands of innocents killed in New York and the Pentagon as collateral damage serving only to establish the evil of a one-world government.
I wonder.
