Outsourced Billing Service for IDD Provider - Hong Kong

Client Introduction
The client is a Hong Kong based company which offers Web services to its customers. Customers taking its services can logon to client's web site and choose the service provider they want to take for their IDD calls. They can change their service provider any time. The customer receives a single monthly bill from the client, no matter how many service providers the customer changes.

Requirements Summary
The client requires Infozech to send out Invoices to their customers. Client will generate the invoices and send Infozech the data which Infozech will map to a Invoice report in DOC format and a CDR report is CSV format and email these invoices directly to client's customers

Earlier Situation
The service was launched on 29th Feb and Infozech’s outsourced billing services are being used right from the beginning.

Key challenges
Infozech had to build an automated system that would import the data, generate invoice report and CDR report and email it to the customer. This required an interface of the eBill VB application with Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel. Initially the client wanted the Invoice in PDF format (Adobe Reader). The system developed has an option to convert the DOC file to PDF also. The biggest challenge was integrating the application with MS Outlook so as to send out emails automatically.

Data sent by the client is in CSV format which we import into our system

Solution Overview

Since this is an outsourced billing service, no solution is provided to the client

Deployment Sequence

Once our inhouse software was developed and the 1st invoices were ready to be sent, Invoices were sent to the client who verified them for correctness and then forwarded it to their customers. Within a week’s time, Infozech was sending out Invoices to the customers directly with a copy to the client also.
