Tarell
Erin
Name: Tarell
Age: 19 (m11/d30)
Position: Healer Trainee
Appearance: Tarell's hair is thick, wavy, and comes to jawline. Also very unruly. It is the color of black-cherry wood after it has been treated with a dark stain. His eyes are large and project an air of innocence, hazel-green. Very slight of build, he is often thought to be much younger than he really is. Incredibly quick and agile on his feet and very nimble with his hands.
Gifts/Specialty: Strong Empathy, Low Average Healing, weak Thoughtsensing
Personality: A very gentle soul, caring. Shy
around strangers but when he warms to someone and opens up he does so with his
whole being. Almost no temper to speak of, it takes something extreme to anger
him but once he’s reached boiling
he stays that way for awhile. Good sense of humor. Very patient.
Short life story: Born to a large Holder Kin
family by one of the senior wives. Was always drawn to those in pain be it
physical, emotional, or mental and driven to help. Sometimes just holding them
or listening, whatever felt right at the time.
His gentle nature was praised and looked well on when he was a little boy but as
he grew up it became apparent that what was fine in a boy was unsuitable in a
man. People started to look at him funny and to whisper that he might be fey.
His father decided that he’d been too cosseted as a child and not disciplined
enough. So he started hitting him often and hard at the slightest infraction
hoping that it would “make a proper man of him and not some puny milkling.
Tarell did everything he could to please his father but it was never enough.
Finally even his gentle and patient nature couldn’t take it anymore and one
night he gathered his few belongings, filched some food and ran away hoping that
somewhere there was a place he’d fit in.
Unfortunately upon reaching Haven Tarell was captured by a slaver ring, the blow administered to his head caused his Gifts to open however and helped lead to the discovery, and rescue, of himself and the other captives including a group of hidden Gifted children.
