'Shade'

Name: 'Shade' true name unknown

Age: about 18 (Spring)

Position: MindHealer trainee

Appearance: Her hair is nearly as pale blond as her skin is milky white. She is on the short side at 5'5". Her luminous blue eyes are startling in her thin pale face, they arrest the soul if looked into too deeply. Her thin frame gives her a decidedly waif-like look despite the proper diet and exercise she has had for her years at Healer's Hall.

Personality: Shy to the point to rarely speaking, it's clear from one look in her eyes this girl has seen way too much pain in her life.

Short life story: Shade does not remember where she's from though her looks are indicative of the people beyond the Ice mountain. She was captured at a very young age and brought to Valdemar and eventually to Haven as part of a slave trade. When she hit puberty her Gift manifested protecting her from further physical molestation and bringing her to the attention of the Heralds of Valdemar. Unfortunately before she could be tracked down she was spirited away from Haven and across the Northern border by a Blood Mage who used her and her Gift to his own advantage.

Shade was able to contact the Mage trainee and Dreamwalker Jentaria and escape her captor to meet a contingent from Haven led by Mage Dean Firedancer k'Treva. Unfortunately she does not know who her captor was only his description. Once she was brought back to Haven she was enrolled into the Healer's Collegium to teach her the use of her unusually strong Empathy, after several years she is finally able to use her Gift again without remembering and fearing the uses it was put to by the Blood Mage. She has even used her Gift in an almost offensive manner in order to help keep a large crown under control in a very dangerous situation.
