Brian Jacques

I started reading the Redwall series when I was twelve years old and I never stopped.  I wait eagerly for each new addition and snap them up as fast as I can.  Devour is the best way to describe the way I read Jacques books. Adventure, Romance, comradeship, tolerance, spirituality, coming of age . . . its all there!

What fantasy page would be complete without Tolkien.  I didn't read The Hobbit until I was seventeen but I fell in love.  I'm a regular visitor to Middle Earth now.  I love the Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion just as much and I have read much of Tolkien's other works.  Its no wonder so much of the fantasy out there is a futile attempt to imitate Tolkien.

All right, I know she isn't a classic, but I personally think she will be one day.  I resisted reading Harry Potter because I hate all the passing trends.  Heck I still haven't seen Titanic (actually I refuse to).  But soooooo many people told me how great these books are that I finally gave in.  Low and Behold, all those people were right.  Like nearly everyone who reads them, I have fallen into the Harry Potter craze.  I am anxiously waiting for the fifth book and in the meantime am currently on my fourth run through the series.
