6/04/2003 Tradedy strikes. Jason has destroyed his pro2 chassis. With a twitchy setup for a run with Shaun at asda, a slight over correction sent the car into a corner kerb at full speed. there was no chance of survival and jason knew it. Hoping to get a new one made from thicker carbon. Shaun recieved his replacement Ferrari Enzo body from Proline. They have been so helpfull. Thanks to all at Proline. Going to be quite for a while, apart from the odd run up asda. Jason and his wife have a baby due in 4 weeks, so a break from racing due too!

16/03/2003 Report by Jason Only Ben and I in attendance today, and my last for a while, as my our baby is due on the 11th of May. I decided against running the F1 this time. With no grip last time out, and a very glitchy speedo that Shaun uses, it wasn't worth it. So I didnt borrow Shauns speedo. Then I bought 20 sets of John Winters foam F1 tyres cheap. Then I got rid of the IC volvo for 20 and a week old mtroniks 15t speedo! So the F1 is sorted for next time! In touring, I had yet more great battles with Anthony, but he had a little more pace this time, and I could only get ahead when I was faultless. And this only ever happens for about half the race usually. Qualified 7th in the C final with another 16 lapper in 312.85s.After getting my com skimmed, I innished 6th after my cell being knocked out in a crash. Ben had a worse time of it, He broke a front wishbone, stripped a servo and put his car away after round 4. Shauns TVR is finnished, and looks cool! I have finally got a new body too, After getting some dodgy advice form a model shop that shall remain nameless (for now), I have a ford GT40 and I sprayed it in that lovely new prismatic paint. backed with dark purple, its so nice, I might not even run it! Loads of new pics to come on our forthcoming bodyshells page. We are planning a rc tips page too, so any good racing tips for beginers and experts alike, please email them to us. We will put your name with any tips you send. Thanks!

03/03/2003 Report by Jason. Shaun, Ben and Ian couldnt make it to Southampton on the 2nd. Jason went and raced both touring and F1. My F1 car had zero grip all day, and was frustratingly tip toeing around all day. This car is getting too old methinks. Touring was a different matter. The first heat was pretty wet, and as Ian wasn't there I had his Pit shimizu wet tyres. As I had still not bought a new bumper since the last meeting, I thought i'd tape it to the bulkhead. It didnt last long and when it did come off, instead of just falling out and away from the car, it dangled on the tape, dragging on the floor. This made the front wash out in the corners. I tried my new gold star 2000's in the next heat, and they were every bit as fast as i had hoped. Did a 15 lapper, driving carefully, worried about having no bumper. Heat 3: Dropped the ride height all round, but dropped it too far. It was bottoming out all the way round. Heat 4: Changed to slicks. Started really well, leading for a little while, then lost drive coming up to the hairpin. The spur drive pin had fallen out. Heat 5 was great fun. After a hard but fair battle with Anthony Guglielmino, concentrating harder than ever, pulling clear at the end to do my first 16 lapper! New brushes for heat 6, and after more great dicing with Anthony finishing on yet another 15 lapper. Qualified 5th in the C final. Up to 4th by lap 6, Graham Botts problems promoted me to 3rd.Settled things down to finnish 3rd on 15 laps in 304.13sec.

26/02/2003. Jason has got some matched 2000's, and they are balistic! Well, at least compared to the 20 2000's! lol. Judging by the extra pace (dumping was only ever a problem when it was very wet), Jason might be in for a chance at the B final on the 9th. Shaun's db7 was ruined by a dodgy can of paint. Fratton model shop were very accomodating and replaced the body and paint. Shaun has chosen the Proline TVR Speed 6, and will be painting it metallic british racing green. Ian has yet to replace his blown up speedo, and might end up having to install the old mechanical speedo. Yuk! He is not a happy chappy!

16/02/2003 Winter trophy meeting. Well after a very late night for Shaun and Jason, Shauns Enzo body was ready to race. And beutifull it was too! Disaster in his fist heat though, when after only a slight scrape, the whole right front wing was completely ripped off! Every race there was more damage, but the knocks were only slight, and it just shattered. Something wrong there! Shaun is soo gutted. Ian's speedo decided to burst into flames when he plugged in for the last final! Smoke everywhere, it looked terrible!. And to top it off Jasons HPI was broken for the first time. Knocked into a spin, he clipped the barrier and flipped over it itnto the path of three other cars, which all piled into him. This all ripped off the bumper and seriously bent the front driveshaft. Ben however, had a much better day. After tweaking his car and driving style, he got better with each heat. After a close three legged E final, he finnished 4th/1st, and 1st. Which made him 1st overall, and will be getting a trophy soon. Shaun and ian were in the D final, and finnished 7th and 9th respectivley.
