ANNUAL REPORT OF SENDs T.M.F. REPRESENTATIVE IN 1999
                                  (Alain Haudenschild)

Personally the year 1999 for me was marked by the change from vice
chairmanship to chairing the T.M.F. Conference Executive Committee
beginning with July 23. Scott Powell, my predecessor helped in this
time of transition.
While during the time of vice chairmanship I worked on building the
relationships to this years conference speakers, the main focus switched
to the more detailed preparation of this years conference and the
improvement of T.M.F.s administrative working ability.

Some of the highlights of last years of the Executive Committee was to
finally complete complete the administrative
transition while moving the T.M.F. office from the Morrison Campus to
the T.M.F.`s Christian Counseling Center offices (Da Yi Street, Lane
29), as approved by EC in July's meeting. In this transition time Joyce
(Wang Xiao Jie) and Ruth (Jin Xiao Jie) were taking responsibility for
the various administrative tasks one by one.

Last year the government found out that T.M.F`s RJP address is illegal
because T.M.F. has no propriety. In July the Juridical Committee decided
to give the government SEND Taiwan's address as its address of the
juridical body.

In September EC appointed five Committee member to build a TMF
Administrative sub-Committee to improve to flow of administrative work.
Guidelines for the T.M.F administrative office are being worked out.
This removed the confusion between the annually changing TMF conference
program and nomination committees, and helped to focus on the longer
term questions of vision and strategy.

Also an Advance Planning Committee was build to worked out plans and
idea for speakers themes of conference, dates of conference and evaluate
the present need within the T.M.F members for the purpose of assisting
theEC regarding education about T.M.F within the T.M.F. member missions.
This committee currently is represented in the EC by the vice-
chairman.

In view of last years earthquake the EC discussed possible ways of
helping. MSC did approve, that Taiwan Missionary Fellowship endorse both
the Morrison Christian Association or the Christian Churches Relief
Association as channels for the earthquake relief .

The earthquake indeed also rocked the T.M.F. office work. nearly nothing
could be done, from September to February, because the Counseling
Centers staff was overburdened with counseling related work. Only the
T.M.Q was edited, printed and sent to its members in December. Not even
a simple T.M.F. newsletter although prepared by the chairman, with an
update about the Year 2000 Conference planning, was sent to the
membership. Since we as a family left by mid of December, I could not
check on that anymore.

Regarding the Planning of the Year 2000 Conference Pastor Dr. Joshua
Tsutada, Yokohama, Japan and Rev. Dr. Jack Elwood, Springfield. (V.A),
U.S., are invited speakers to the topic: "WITH A HEART FOR GOD INTO THE
NEW MILLENNIUM" Jack Elwood promised to bring a team of helpers, to let
his team teach the Camp David program for highschoolers and to prepare
for middleschoolers. He will teach in the the morning bible lectures.
Pastor Tsutada come with a friend from India, Rev. Dr. Francis
Sunderaraj, who will teach three workshops. Pastor Tsutada and Rev.
Sunderaraj both are people who are working with the Evangelical
Fellowship of Asia. Pastor Tsutada is the EFAs current chairman, whereas
his Indian friend is the general secretary of EFA and also chairman of
the Evangelical Fellowship of India. Rev. Elwood is one of the 12
pastors of a 3000 members church and adjunct professor of Missions at
Capitol Bible Training Seminary. The speakers all have a promising
background. The conference will have translation on two evenings and is
open for nationals to join us.

I believe especially in view of the new Millennium with its challenges
to the R.O.C. churches it is increasingly imperativ for T.M.F. to find
its role within the national churches. The last year for T.M.F. was a
year of changes, but also a year there we grew in mutual respect during
our time of doing buisness in the committee.

Respectfully submitted,

Alain Haudenschild (TMF chairman)
