that are involved with the Rottweiler breed.
ADRK- allgemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler KLUB.This is the official governing body for
the Rottweilers in germany.
FCI-federation Cynologique international.the interational governing body in which
most countries are members. this governing body santions country championships and
Interational Championships. the rules of this governing body are the most widely accepted.
AKC-American kennel club. the american governing body responcible for all-breed
registrations, the largest in U.S. they also santion all-breed conformation, sporting, and
other events pertaining to all-breeds.
VDH- Verbrand fur das Deutsche Hundeswesen. the offical body that governs
all-breeds in germany, of which the ADRK is a part.
USRC- United States Rottweiler Club. a Rottweiler club in the U.S. that sponcers
"german Style" shows including conformation shows and working trials.
ARV- American Rottweiler Verein. a rottweiler club in the U.S. that sponcers
"german Style " shows in conformation and working trials.
WORKING TITLES: these are
titles in whitch the dog was trained and tested in order to recieve them.
CD-
obedience title offered by the AKC. requires the dog to pass 3 times before being awarded
this title. each pass is called a leg
CDX- advanced obedience title awarded by AKC
UD- utility dog excellence. these titles are earned in sequence with increasing
levels of requirements, for each sequence
BH- bacic obedience title., usually given in germany. B-equivalent to a BH,
but given at "german style shows in U.S.
AD-endurance test, dog will run about 12 miles in 2 hours, without showing
excessive fatique."germany" and german style showing in U.S.
FH- advanced tracking degree, with two more levels then the AD, FH and FH two
"germany" and german style shows in U.S.
TD- a tracking title offered by AKC.
TDX- an advanced degree of tracking offered by AKC.
SCH- schutzhund is a working dog sport, with 3 levels, sch1, sch2, sch3, with sch3
being the hardest level to pass
IPO-working dog sport, much like sch with a few variations
ZTP- breed suitability test. any rottweiler in germany intended for breeding
purposes that is registred with the ADRK IN GERMANY must first pass the ZTP in germany
before being bred. the requirements for the test include : a hip rating, a BH degree, a
conformation reviewution that includes weight and measurement. the dog must be free of
disqualifying faults. the rest of the test dog is a temperament test. the results of these
tests are published in the "KOR" books for all to see, and becomes a perment
record on that particular dog or bitch. the report also becomes apart of the pedigree of
the dogs offspring.
BST- breed suitablity test offered by the USRC club in the U.S. to imulate the ZTP
in Germany. Gekort- advanced breed suitability test offered twice a year by the ADRK in
germany. this test is considered the highest measure of a dogs worth. the event at whitch
the dog is tested is called the korung,the title the dog carries after passing the Gekort.
RTD- registered therapy dog, AKC title
HT, HTC, HIT, these are hearting titles
TT- temperament test
CGC- canine good citizen .
A temperament test, its purpose to demonstrate a dogs ability to behave properly in
public, this is a AKC title.

CONFORMATION TITLES
V RATING- in german style shows, offered by the ADRK, and the german styleclubs in U.S. the USRC and the ARV. the judge gives a detailed critique of the dogs conformation, and how that dog measures up to the rottweiler standard. the Vrating is the highest. it means the dog is a excellent representitive of the breed.
SG- stands for very good representive of the standard. this is highest rating generally given to dogs under the age of two.
G- stands for satisfactory representive of the standard
NG- stands for not satisfactory and usually indicates a dog has a major fault.
SIEGER- the best in show title offered in german shows. dog must also have a sch or ipo title, plus a ZTP, BST, or Gekort.
SIEGERIN- the female counterpart
JUNGEND SIEGER/in the youth class, 'best in show for dogs under two, no working titles needed.
KS, WS, ES, BS, O-BS, the big shows of the year in europe. winning any of these shows , the dog will then carry these titles on his paper work , ie, his pedigree.
INT . CH. - a championship earned in more then one FCI country.
CH- in america dog must obtain 15 points, this must follow AKC rules and guidlines.
