Our breeding program is based on "linebreedings"with the occassional "outcross" for a" definite purpose", as we feel that the only way a breeder can develope and hold onto a "certain type" is through linebreeding. We strongly believe that most of the traits in our dogs, whether physical or mental, are inherited, and you can only modify the genetic makeup to a small degree by the enviroment. through my more then 20 years of breeding, I have learned that genetics is the bigger part of what a dog ends up being. I know there are many people out there who will argue with that and say enviroment is extremely important. It is important, but the basic qualities of both conformation and temperament are determined by the genes. We have always tried to breed for the "total Rottweiler". that dog has to be both mentally and physically sound and it has to be of "true breed type". we willnot tolerate mental unsoundness, and I will never breed to a dog that is overly agressive or too timid!" PHYSICAL SOUNDNESS" is also extremely important")Rottweilers are working dogs first and foremost."
Before you buy a puppy
If you are interested in aquiring a Rottweiler puppy, the best thing you can do is contact several breeders. You can then discuss with each breeder their goals, the "type" of Rottweiler they breed for, such as head type, bone and substance as well as temperment. Within the breed today there is a great variation of "type" By looking at other breeders dogs and visiting their kennels you should get an idea of what "type" of Rottweiler you want to own. The AKC\ADRK standard for the breed describes what the Rottweiler should look like, that doesn't mean that any given Rottweiler kennel can produce it. Research before you buy.

This page wouldnot be complete without thanking my wonderful husband "Allen" who is my best friend and partner, and without whos unwavering devotion to (me) and the (dogs) none of this would be possible!!! Not only is "Allen" my husband but he is the very talented handler of "all Hausderberg bred Rottweilers in the AKC ring-German style ring-international shows, as well as handling dogs for outside clients. I would also like to thank "bugsie who is the very talented creator of my web page and to all the wonderful puppy buyers throughout the years and all the dog people that are apart of our lives. What I have tried to do is put a few up and coming dogs that we have produced in the last year so that you might see them as puppies and young adults. We will try to update this page often with new puppies and upcoming dogs we are showing. These are but a few of our outstanding foundation bitches. We will add more as time permits.
