Since the mass majority of my family hails from Canada, naturally my education has led me there to learn as much about them as possible. One of the many, many things which fascinates me about Canada is the history, and the legends. One in particular is that of the "Sleeping Giant". It is a massive rock formation which sits just offshore of Thunder Bay, the native legend has it that it was the Great Spirit Nana-Bijou who turned to stone after a promise made to him was broken. If ever in Thunder Bay, be sure to look for this unusual mass of rock formation.
Some of the best  Native Indian food consisted of Wild rice, fiddlehead, which is a very distinctive green that is only edible during the early springtime. Also Buffalo meat and some venison.(Deer Meat)

Many of my relatives were said to have hunted deep within the Saskatchewan hills and woods. The more prominent of tribes which hailed from there were the Chippewa, Assiniboine, and the Cree.
