This is Stucky's Bridge. Back in the 1800s a man named Stucky let travelers stay in his home like a hotel. At night he would murder his guests and steal thier valuables. He would then bury them in the river bank. His nieghbors found him out and hung him from the bridge. He and possibley some of his victems now haunt the bridge and surounding woods. People say that sometimes you can catch a glimpse of him hanging from under the bridge. I myself was once standing perfectly still on the bridge looking down at the water late one night. All of a sudden BAM!! The bridge shook in the way it might if you hung someone off it. Not much scares me but that was a little unnerving. |

This is the Amos Deason home. It is the oldest house in Jones County. It is the site of the murder of Captain Amos McLemore. He was shot by Newt Knight. The house is said to have a residual haunting that replays the murder on its anniversary. It is also haunted by old man Deason himself among others. |
