| Photo shows strong armored mouth in reinforced concrete of heavy
gun battery 2 ,2.position of Mount Celva.The cavern is almost 20 m deep, 4m heigh and 6 m large. Protection of this battery was overall in height about 40 m of solid rock. At this time (during WW I) it was impossible to destroy artillery positions like this. |
