Typical open air artillery position for medium and heavy Austrian
howitzer.
There are hundreds of these positions prepared for mobile field
artillery and howitzer units around the fortress of Trento.In case of 
enemy detection of position,the batteries were moved very fast to other
prepared positions.
Battery "Murazzi",typical underground battery armed with two guns
8cm/M75,located at the south front of the fortress of Trento.The caverns
are bomb proof and very deep.
Mount Paganella (2200m above sea level) at the nort-west sectionof the
defense line.Looking to this mountain from position 2 of heavy
underground battery "Spazzadomeneghe" located on artillery base on top
of Mount Soprasasso,outbound north-west from Trento.
Looking from position 2 of "Castel Vedro" underground battery in
direction to the Val Sugana Valley,east of Trento
