| Position of heavy Austrian howitzer with little ammunition casemate on
Mount Chegul(1380m above sea level),in the background the typical bomb-proof ammunition and troop caverns.(shelter in the rock) On top of Mount Chegul (north east to east defense section of the fortress of Trento) there are 18 bomp proof caverns and a lot of howitzer positions,underground facilities like kitchen,magazines,troop casemates.There were located more then 10 howitzer batteries (with 2 to 4 guns one each battery). |
| Military road to the top of "Mount Calisio" the biggest underground
fortress located at the north east defense section (1100m above sea level) of the fortress of Trento.There are two caverns for troop and ammo for the "Sabbionare " artillery battery,located nearby (3 guns 9cm/M75)in massive concrete shelters,the road was called "Sabbionare" and starts from Trento in the valley. |
