Randy Duke
The Elephant, The Donkey and the Dove:
Understanding the Upcoming Elections
Randy was born and raised in New Orleans.  He is one of ten children and has a twin brother (his parents had 3 sets of twins, and 4 singles).  His wife Lori, also from NOLA, teaches CCD at St. Thomas, where the Dukes are parishioners.  They have a son, Perrin, who is currently a sophomore at Southern Miss.

Randy was raised Catholic but did not truly embrace Catholicism as his true faith until his early 30s.  In 1994 he joined the Knights of Columbus and is a member of the 4th degree.  Currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army reserves, Randy has had numerous overseas tours, returning from the most recent one in May 2008.  During his tour in Bosnia in 1995 and 1996, Randy deepened his love for the Blessed Mother.

Randy openly admits he is a sinner and a definite work in progress, but understands that by God's grace there is hope for him!  He has truly felt moved to seek out men who have fallen away from the Catholic faith or who have not been active and help to bring them back in true communion with the church.  He is an active member of St. Thomas church, where he helps with RCIA, is an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and is a member of the Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group.

Randy is employed at Hattiesburg Clinic, where he has worked since relocating his family to Hattiesburg in May 2006.  He enjoys outdoor activities and reading, especially about Catholicism.
