Characters may only choose these alignments: LG, NG, CG, LN, N
Step 2: After selecting a class, determine your attributes using the D20 point buy system. You have 32 points to spend. The chart below will show you the cost in points if you can't find the chart in the Dungeon Master's book. (Note, if a player character dies and his character can't be resurrected, the player makes a new character. This new character starts at the same level as his previous character with minimum experience needed for that level, but may only use 28 point buy for the replacement character.
NOTE: If you take feats, spells, etc from any book other than the player's handbook, please note it on your character sheet - this is to save me time from scouring a dozen books trying to look up a specific feat or spell on your character sheet.... I.e. if you take Improved Toughness from the Complete Warrior book, write something like (CW) next to the feat.
Step 4: All characters start with Max hit points for level 1 + CON modifier.
Step 5: All characters receive max gold for their class at level 1.
Step 6: Purchase your starting weapons and equipment.
Step 7: Write brief (or lengthy) description of your character. You can include a biography as well, or you can opt to reveal this gradually through the course of adventuring.
Step 8: Select a miniature/portrait to represent your character for the battlemaps and email it to me. You can either select a picture from the ZIP file I offer or you can use your own (e-mail it to me so I can use it on the battlemap). See the Downloads page to get the ZIP file of portraits.
