Back in the roaring twenties , a beautiful black haired young lady, Frances Idella Ayers , accompanied her parents to a club where her father, William Jesse Ayers, was the fiddle player. As the music swept through the room, a young man, William Theodore Watson , saw this beautiful lady, she set his heart on fire- and he knew she was the one for the rest of his life. Bill and Idella were married 3 July 1926. On the day she died in 1962- he was mourning her passing after a long almost 36 yrs. together - stated, "my companion, " my companion." As he paced the floor. Lost for words. She had been more than a companion. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She left a legacy to her children that money could never buy.
