- hey, so we're the hate moms. it's just me, kyle and mr. steven (my pet rat).
we just wanna write fun songs about fun stuff. it's cool stuff you can dance
and rock out to. we don't care too much about talent or writing good songs.
As long as it's not annoying, we're happy.
- many people assume our name "the hate moms" comes from our hatred
for our moms. in actuality, we really love our moms.
- just to let you know,
mr. steven is a girl... so why would i name my pet rat "mr. steven"
if it's a girl? well, i had been wanting to get a pet rat and call it mr. steven
for a while. so while in the processess of selecting a rat at the pet store,
i was kind of disturbed by all of the male rat's giant nuts and i really didn't
want their nuts rubbing on me. but the moment i saw mr. steven i had to have
her, and the name stuck.
mr. steven now fronts our band and plays the theremin...
- yeah, so we're a pretty simple band. keyboard. drums. vocals. rat theremin.
