UN Secretary General "Alarmed" at Hated Husband Numbers
For Immediate Release - UN Secretary General "Alarmed" at Hated Husband Numbers
New York - United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan today expressed "surprise and alarm" at the growing number of hated husbands around the world. "This is a humanitarian crisis of alarming proportions," Annan said in a written statement. "We must do what we can to stem the tide of hated husbands." In a recently released study, the International Brotherhood of Hated Husbands estimated that there are up to 250,000,000 hated husbands around the world. In his statement, Annan called upon the wives of the world to "ease off." "We already have an immense refugee problem in the world today." Annan stated. "We must do what we can to prevail upon wives to stop the hatred!"
However, Goldman Sachs analyst Jeffrey Birnbaum characterized the hated husband numbers as a potential lift to an ailing world wide economy. "Hated husbands spend more," Birnbaum states. "Locksmiths, fast food joints, convenience stores, motels, movie theaters, liquor stores all benefit from this growing refugee problem. I would caution the UN to be careful at this fragile time in the world economy. Removing hated husbands from the economy would prolong the global recession."
