Marilyn_Manson_Concert_Review
Montreal, Canada
Background - rather than take time to kick back and do drugs on their time off of Ozz-fest, Manson and crew played some off-fest shows in clubs. Marilyn Manson played Montreal, Canada for the first time sense the "Dead To The World Tour" 4 years ago.

I was really looking forward to seeing my hero Marilyn Manson again. This time I wound be able to get upclose and see them. The concert was on one of the hottest days of the year. Inside Metropolis, the heat of all the people was killer. First up was Taproot. They were good and they somewhat reminded me of
Hazin' Jane. The crowd did not seem to like them that much and half way through their set people started chanting for Manson. After taproot was done, They started to set up for Manson which took over an hour. They put up a burning American Flag as a backdrop. Finaly, The national anthem (No not Surfacing) started playing and smoke started coming up on the stage. Then the members of Manson walked onstage and Manson himself just appeared onstage. They broke into "Irresponsible Hate Anthem" and the crowd went nuts. Manson's set was harder than ever. It was also stripped down with no backdrop changes and no coustume changes, just outright rock. The stage progs like the prosthetic stilt were still there. I was at the front but the heat was too much and I went back alittle bit and found my sister. Manson was effected by the heat too and bitched about it at least 3 or 4 times. "It is way to hot in here to be on drugs, but if you are, this song is for you" he said before they played "The Dope Show". the show was cut short when Manson Hurt his hand durring "Sweet Dreams". He said "It is way to hot in here and I think we all need to sit down...... Sit the Fuck Down!" and left the stage for a few minutes, them he came back and played "The Beautiful People" and "Rock'N'Rock" before smashing the drumkick and storming off the stage. Great Show!
