Harry's working place
So this is it. The MD-11, one of Swissair's longhaul jets. As you might know, I started off flying the Fokker 100, then changed onto the Airbus A320/A321/A319 (just varying in size), but still flying all around Europe. After 5 five years, I started a transition course onto the MD-11. That was in July 1998. I finished training in September 1998, and the first flight (as being checked out) went to San Francisco, where I met Seiko (from the Weizmann bunch), who - unfortunately - could not come to the wedding.
Anne-Sylvie and I got to fly together a lot between
the wedding and her pregnancy (both working, of course). In December 1999,
she quit flying (because of the baby) and started to work on a desk in
the Swissair Operation Center, where she was helping Flight Attendants
with a myriad of problems. This way, saying good-bye to flying wasn't that
hard after all, since she still saw all the people she loved to fly with
(and also the others...).
Those of you who know me see, that the guy on
the left is to old to be me; and the guy on the right - according to the
haircut - cannot be me, either... (but at least the cockpit is correct)
