Flight season: late April to mid-July.
Population: common, particularly at marshes west of Tweed or foraging in nearby fields.
Length: about 30 mm.

disturbed field supporting tall grasses and wildflowers, bordered by shrubs and trees with a sand and rock-bottomed creek to the east.
