Bobbi (Beulah Mae) Moralez at the honeymoon cabin. Loyd's truck with the donkey in the back. The cabin is a few miles past Octave, Arizona on the Moralez Ranch. |
Bobbi was a tall pretty girl in grade school. She was very bright and the Morristown school skipped her a grade as she was growning up. Bobbi loved to write and her poems were written in a small elegant handwriting.
Bobbi was a fun, loving, wonderful aunt to her neices and nephews as
they were growning up. She loved Elvis as a teen ager, cut her hair to
look like his and had his pictures pinned up all over her room. She drove
us around, took us to town to buy cokes at the soda fountain at the drug
store, played music at the juteboxes in cafes. Bobbie taught us girls
to read True Romance magazines, polish our finger nails and put
on lipstick. Wow, we thought we were cool when we were with her. When Aunt
Bobbi walked into the room, the fun began. Ghost stories, jokes, laughter
and fun, that was her way, her presence brought joy to all of our hearts.
Old memories flood through our minds of her animals, the mina bird, Smoky,
brings a smile to our lips thinking of his coughing sounds, his laughter
and how he would say "Shut Up Rose." Aunt Roseann felt insulted thinking
someone taught him to say it about her, but when Bobbi bought the bird
he was alreading saying it. We all loved our Aunt Bobbi very much. She
married Angel Moralez when she was seventeen years old. His parents came
from Mexico and homesteaded a ranch near Octave, AZ. Angel and his family
still live on the ranch at this time.
