Theodore Turley was born April 10, 1800 in Brinton, Birmingham, England,
the son of William and Elizabeth Yates Turley.
He came to Utah with other Mormon converts in 1849,
and in the early 1850's journeyed to San Bernardino.
Theodore lost 2 wives and 8 Children on the Trail to Utah,
between 1846 - 1848, most at Winter Quarters.
Theodore was a master mechanic, gunsmith,
Latter-day Saint Church leader and missionary.
He, like many others, beleived in the Principle of Plural Marriage.
He married 5 times.

Theodore's first wife was Francis Amelia Kimberley.
Francis was born on 22 June 1800 in Birmingham, England.
She was the daughter of Thomas Kimberley and Sarah Hitchens.
She married Theodore Turley on 26 Nov. 1821.
Francis died in Winter Quarters, Nebraska on 30 Aug 1847.
Theodore and Francis had 10 Children...

She was the daughter of Robert Clift and Elizabeth.

She died 30 March 1850 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She died 4 May 1847 in Winter Quarters, Nebraska.

Ruth married Theodore 9 June 1850.
She died in March 1881 in Beaver, Utah.
Theodore and Ruth had 2 Children...
Ruth had 1 Child from her previous marriage,
which Theodore adopted so he carried the Turley name also...
