Homily Points
25th Sunday B
General.
During the past week, life’s troubles might have hit us hard. Though we may have doubted God’s existence, Jesus Christ was constantly watching over us, ever ready to wipe off our tears in the suffering we were passing through. While convening in this Christian community, gathering at the foot of the altar to praise and adore, we give thanks to God for having answered us in our anguish.Book of Wisdom.
Most of the time man suffers because of others’ bad doings towards him. Yet God helps anyone who seeks His support and will so protect the anguished from death and bitter suffering.St James.
The worldly man commits the doings of the flesh and of the world. Yet whoever has God’s wisdom, seeks peace and his doings are all based on showing goodness towards others.St Mark.
Jesus once more foretells his death and resurrection. One such moment of death through which every Christian must go is that of becoming like little children, not pampered as we might think, but finding their position in the very last place and serving all those who have sway over them. Only that way can the little child find his resurrection and be in the forefront over the woes of humanity together with Jesus, the Glorified Servant.
