Introduction to Project:
*Your group will be assigned a specific disease to research.
*The goal of this project is to construct an informational awareness pamphlet with your assigned team regarding this disease.

Pamphlet Project
Team Member Responsibilities:
*Each member of your team will choose a separate role in gaining and compiling information about this disease:
>TEAM MEMBER 1:
Signs & Symptoms of the disease
>TEAM MEMBER 2:
Statistical Data regarding the Incidence & Spread of the ailment
>TEAM MEMBER 3:
Methods of Transmission& Current Treatments that are available (include at least one recent discovery about the disease!)
>TEAM MEMBER 4:
Prevention Strategies and where in the Community to go for Help or Assistance (meaning specific information for the Northbrook/Chicago-area)
Basic Pamphlet Requirements:
*Your pamphlet must be compiled using the template from our class
*The finished product should include
ALL of the information listed above; it must be organized in your own words (no cutting & pasting, etc.)
*Each TEAM should use 3 separate sources for information besides our Health textbook (these must be documented on a
separate bibliography sheet and NOT on the pamphlet - only 1 copy is needed)
*All group member names should be evident somewhere on the pamphlet
&Neat and appropriate text and graphics should be incorooated - especially on the cover of the informational pamphlet to encourage people to look at it!
Presentation:
*You will be assigned a day to present your pamphlet and accompanying information
*Your presentation should be a minimum of
5 minutes
*On this day, you must bring 1-
folded copy of your pamphlet per person in this class and 1 for me to grade(about 30 copies total) - you may NOT fold them during other presentations; be prepared and bring them to class ready to go
*During your own presentation you should present your contribution to this project by providing your audience with ADDITIONAL information that what is written on the pamphlet
   >Reading the pamphlet to the class is of no use and will result in a significantly lowered grade
    >Use Chapter 23 as a beginning guideline as  to what additional information you should cover in your presentation
