What is compensation of Zina?

There are three points that need to be explained in answer to your question:

1. Zina (adultery or fornication or rape) is not a crime which can be compromised with Qisas or compensation.
2. If a crime is committed secretly, it should be kept hidden and should not be 

propagated, according to the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. Those who

commit any such sin or crime should repent and sincerely seek Allah’s forgiveness; Allah is Oft-Forgiver; He says that He can forgive any sin other than shirk – joining partner with Him. Also according to a hadith, Allah deals with His servant according to the hope (Zann) which the servant has with Him.

3. According to a hadith, if such crime is brought to the notice of authorities, the

matter will then be decided according to the law. Since Zina is a crime that belongs to the category of Hudd (Bounds set by Allah), no pardon or compromise or intercession is acceptable, and the court punishment will be enforced by the authorities. It is important to note that the worldly punishment does not save the sinner from the punishment in the Hereafter, unless the sinner repents and seeks Allah’s forgiveness.
