Dear Br. Abdul-Hameed Assalamo Alaikum
Thank you for the questions. May Allah increase your knowledge and zeal to understand the code of Islamic life, Amen!
Here are your questions:
(1)But when Allah said in the Holy Qur’an: until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle, doesn't he mean he will take the unbelievers out of hell when a camel passes through a needle's eye? I'm just curious. A camel passing through a needle's eye may be impossible for a human but not for Allah. (2)If a murderer has to hand himself over to the victim's immediate kin, in order to be forgiven for his crime. Then how did a person, who committed 100 murders, was forgiven by Allah alone? (3)I even heard big sins can only be forgiven by sincere repentance, but then why did Allah forgave a prostitute when she neither sincerely repented nor got the Islamic punishment for zina (fornication) but just quenched a thirsty dog's thirst? (4)If Allah can forgive zina (fornication) by sincere repentance then why is there a punishment for it in Islam? I hope asking you these questions will not frustrate you and the reason I'm asking these questions is out of curiosity.
Wassalam,
Shaikh Abdul-Hameed
ANSWERS:
The answer to your first question has already been sent to you.
(2)In this physical world, of-course, law has to take its course. It may punish the guilty or find him not guilty and release him consequently. This has no effect whatsoever on the action of Allah. Allah will judge the person on the Day of Judgment. He may punish or forgive whomever He likes. He is Supreme in His action. The man who had committed 100 murders in this physical world should have been tried in this world and punished accordingly. The hadith does not talk about it. It talks about the action of Allah who got pleased because of his sincere repentance, and forgave him.
(3)Allah got pleased with the merciful action of the prostitute and forgave her sin. However, this does not mean that she was not responsible of her crime in this physical world.
(4)Any body who commits a crime in this physical world will be tried in the court of law and dealt with accordingly irrespective of what Allah will do to him in the Akhirah (Hereafter). Zina (adultery or fornication) is a social crime. It will be dealt according to the law of the land. Same applies to all the crimes such as murder, theft etc. whether the crime committer repents or not.
Hope these answer will satisfy your curiosity.
Wassalam
