Question: 019.028. O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a wicked man nor was thy mother a harlot.

Please explain this.

 

EXPLANATION:

The Prophet Aaron was the son of Imran, and brother of the Prophet Moses. The Prophet Aaron was the first head of the religious hierarchy i.e. the Rabbi

Chain in Jewish religion. Here by referring to the Prophet Aaron as a brother and Imran as a father, the critics were pointing out of her high lineage. What

they meant by referring to Aaron was that she had disgraced the name of her progenitors.
