Assalam Alaikum Hasan Bhai,
I want to know would it be alright to fast tomorrow as a manat? if
Ramadan does not start tomorrow, and if it does start tomorrow, the intention is Ramadan fasting.
Thank you
sister Raisa Ali

Dear Sister Ali

Assalamo Alaikum WRWB

According to a hadith, those who do not regularly fast on the last day of Shaban are not allowed to fast on that day.

Also, Muslims are not allowed to offer Nazar or Mannah fast on the days when fasting is forbidden such as Eid or last day of Shaban. Your mannah or nazar to fast on such days are detested. You must break your mannah or nazar, and pay kaffarah.

If you believe that the last day is actually the first day of Ramadhan, then you should go ahead and fast for Ramadhan.

Wassalam
