QUESTION:
As Salaamu Alaikum,
Bismillaah!
Insha Allah, this email finds you in the best of health, faith and high iman, Ameen! I wanted to know could you explain Surah An-Nasr to me, Insha Allah. I would like to tell someone and share with them also. Jazak allah kiran for all your help. Wa Alaikum As Salaam, Your Sister in Islam
Nadiiyah
EXPLANATION:
The commentators write that this surah was revealed after the victory of Makkah. Whatever be the case, the surah says that when the victory was achieved by the
Prophet (S) with the help of Allah, peoples in groups and tribes started to enter into the fold of Islam. Allah then advised the Prophet (S) to be thankful to Him by glorifying the praise of his Lord, and to seek His forgiveness. Indeed Allah is Forgiver. This surah teaches Muslims to thank Allah on their achievements by glorifying him and seeking His forgiveness. When this surah was recited to the believers, the first caliph Abu Bakr Siddiq started weeping. He at once realized that the mission of the Prophet (S) was complete, and it was time for him to join his High Friend i.e. Allah. Wallaho A'lam biththawab.
