Thank you for your enquiry on this subject. It is a very vast topic. If you are interested in knowing halal and haram things in Islam, I would suggest you read a book "Halal and Haram in Islam" by Allama Yusuf Al-Qardhavi. The Qur’an itself is not a book of legal statutes, but a Guidance. The details can not be found in it. Along with its teachings one has to learn the teachings of Sunnah as well. The Qur'an says in sura Al-Hashr "Whatever the Prophet (S) gives you take it, and whatever he forbids stay away from that." This clearly shows that one has to fall back to Sunnah to understand halal and haram. May Allah increase zeal of knowledge in you, Amen!
