HARVEST MOON FARM

Harvest Moon Farm began in the mid-1990s as a small fiber business specializing in Angora rabbits.  When we moved to our current property, we added Border Leicester sheep to the flock, and discovered the neccessity of a good herding dog for efficient flock management.  An interest in herding led to an obsession with it, and before long we found it was more profitable to keep sheep solely for training dogs than it was to raise wool.  Our sheep flock now consists of Katahdin Hair sheep and their crosses, which are not wool producers, but do produce a good market lamb.  We also keep two ponies and a handful of other farm critters.
We usually have market lambs and dog-broke sheep for sale.  Please contact us for further information.  Please see our Herding Page for information about herding lessons and training opportunities.
