In this game, you must literally work for your horse. Begin by working part-time at the Brownie Farm. Just go to the Farmer's shop and stand to the left of the cash register and press X. Then pick Do part-time work. It will put you in a feild of horses and a cow. Pick the horse you want and talk to it and brush it. After you finish him, brush and talk to the other animals. Don't forget to milk the cow! When done, go into the barn and put fodder in all the stalls. Exit the barn and walk up the path. When you leave, Bob will ask if your finished. say yes and you'll get paid! Keep doing this till around the 24th of Spring Bob will bring your horse and ask you to train him. Say yes and you gotta horse!! Just feed, brush, and talk to him everyday. Soon, you'll be able to mount him and walk around, then eventually run! Let him outside in the pasture on sunny days and put him in at night.

Bad news: You hafta work for the dog too!
Good News: You can pick from the normal golden dog or a brown huskey type dog!
First, PICK ONE!! Next, you will notice a little food dish outside. Gather some food and EVERY DAY put something edible in it. When you see the dog you like on your farm, run to it and try to pick it up. If it runs away, wait till next time. Eventually, it will let you pick it up and then you can name it! To care for him, take him out on sunny days and FEED him!! If you don't you'll hafta cure him with animal medicine which is 500G per bottle. Keep him inside when it rains(unless you have a doghouse) and whistle to him often! Another great new feature of STH is the cool dog tricks! First you need a flute. Play these tunes to your dog often and he will learn them eventually.

1 Heart: We are getting along better
2 Hearts: He can run now
3 Hearts: He runs faster now
4 Hearts: Top speed!
5 Hearts: He won't lose!!

The dog has a heart system too, but it's basically the same:)

You can get a chicken in 3 ways:
1) Go to the supermarket and buy an egg, put it in the coop's incubator, saves you 450G!
2) Buy a chicken for 500G at the Farmer's Market
3) When your chicken lays an egg place it in the incubator
Chickens are fairly easy to care for, too. Feed them chicken feed daily and occasionally pick them up and talk to them. Their eggs sell for 50G at the Cafe by the Lake or Clove's Villa.

You can get a cow in 2 ways:
1) Buy a cow at the Farmer's Market for 2500G
2) After you own a cow, buy a Mating Potion and use it on him. A calf will be there in 10 days!
Just brush, talk to, feed, and milk cows everyday. Let them out on sunny days. They give milk in 4 stages:
S(mall) Milk ~ 150G
M(edium) Milk ~ 200G
L(arge) Milk ~ 300G
G(olden) Milk ~ 400G
