General
definitions and notations. |

Chapter 2
 |
An
indirect statistical method is suggested which allow without
essential expenses estimate alterations in a regional population's
age and gender structure. On the base of official data on population
and mortality of Republic of Armenia in 1990, 1995-2000, we derive
the number of population and emigrants for 1995-2000. |

Chapter 3
 |
Special
slippage and a posteriori methods are applied for statistical
analysis of epidemiological time series. Tests are based on the
sequential use of parametric statistics for large populations and
non parametric rank statistics for small populations. A computer
program is developed for realization of discussed methods which is
applied in the research of the tuberculosis morbidity, mortality and
prevalence indices in Armenia during 1980-2001. Change point problem
is solved. |

 |
Chapter 4
 |
The ideas
and properties of variational and Kullback-Leibler distances are
used for reduction of analyzed variables space dimensionality and
for selection of the most informative indices. The special computer
program was written for realization of suggested methods. It was
applied in the statistical analysis of data on gastroenterological
diseases. |

Chapter 5
 |
A
statistical program package "SIFAnalysis" created by the author. The
package allows to check the homogeneity of numerical sequences, find
change points of time series, define informative distances of
different classes and etc. It is developed by STATISTICA BASIC and
may be used within STATISTICA 5.0 or later. "SIFAnalysis" has been
applied in some demographical and epidemiological researches and
proved itself as a useful statistical computer tool. |
