| Who, or what, am I? |
| "Prison is where you're issued one roll of toilet tissue per month per man and you run out on the 29th, and come down with a case of diarrhea on the 30th, and then are told that you'll have to wait until the 1st for the monthly supplies." --Clarence Billingsley, fifteen year prisoner of a life term for murder at Rahway State Prison in New Jersey. (...He has since been released.) My name is Marissa. Haruka is simply an alias for those times when I don't feel like facing myself. I'm probably unhealthily cynical, but life's a lot more interesting when you doubt the sincerity of everything around you. As this site will soon tell you, I really don't think that highly of myself. Pictures will tell you all of my physical appearance, so I'll try to stick to basics. I'm of the straight persuasion. I spend most of my time running from rehearsal to rehearsal. I could roll in European culture and architecture until I made myself sick. I'm usually apathetic unless I'm angry at something. And I'm sixteen. Gah. Another misunderstood teenager.) It's only seven (or so) more years until I become a middle-class employee of some large corporation to support my stereotypical family in some Midwestern American town. Only eight more years until I become my parents. Joy, rapture. Music is my life. I'll listen to just about anything, depending on my mood. I've played cello for about five years, and have just started piano. This is really a sad attempt at trying to describe a person, though that's fairly unimportant. If you care to furthur the journey of learning about me, or if you just want to complain and tell me how much I need to lighten up (seems to be the trend), then email me. Disclaimer: This site doesn't have a point. To speculate that I could possibly enlighten anyone or anything is absolutely ridiculous, because I myself am not "enlightened." This is just mainly a channel through which I can write obscure ramblings that demand little to no respect. But they try to be at least thought provoking. At least give them that. -Haruka |
