Previously a large amount of the collected yearly dues went towards paying a pavement repair contractor to patch and repair the roads. The costs of this method have grown significantly over the last few years. A new plan was needed...
The officers of the Homeowners Association Board approved a new plan for long term maintenance for our streets. The current plan is as follows:
1) Save the money collected from yearly dues which would have normally gone towards costly contractor repair. These costly repairs would have been torn up and removed anyway once the streets were ready for re-paving.
2) Members of the HOA officers or volunteers will patch and repair the roads using readily available and Dept of Transportation approved materials which can be found at Lowe's or Home Depot.
3) Collect bids from approved contractors and, once enough money has been saved, repair a portion of the streets. Repeat procedure until all portions of our streets have been completely re-paved.
We are SO proud of the efforts and patience of our Homeowners as we have saved for this great improvement. We hope you enjoy the newly repaired section of Foster, and please remember to obey the speed limits! Excessive speeding is one fo the biggest forms of damage to our roads.
Pothole repair is on-going in the plan to save funds for Phase II. Your HOA President Sterling Arms is continually repairing potholes. Did you see him in February? If you see Sterling or any other member of our Street Repair Team PLEASE SLOW DOWN and please avoid newly repaired section (look for the cones). Sterling and our Repair Team appreciate your encouragement as you pass by, be sure to say "Hello!".
Currently there have been hundreds of square feet of potholes repaired by HOA President Sterling Arms and HOA Vice President Rob Barton. Through their hard work, the HOA has been able to save up thousands of dollars which will go towards re-paving efforts. P
