Hartmanns Communty Centre Official Projects
Pax Christi
Our Lady of Victory Church in Milton is currently not
in use. Terms of the land lease grant by Canada Brick
state that the church must be in use or risk having the land
turned back to the corporation.
Project Pax Christi has the intention to create
a ministry and house of worship with focus on the Charismatic,
Eucharistic and Marian doctrine and bring it to life in the congregation
with day retreats, guest missionary speakers and Catholic workshopsand
emphasis on encouraging vocations to the Roman Ctholic religious life..
Since overhead costs are already being paid by the Holy Rosary Parish,
the only expense would be labour, which will be provided by project members
on a volunteer basis.
Pax Christi Project will network and support missions and missionaries connected with ministries and missions around the world, but will focus on a partnership and closer working relationship with Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament and Sister of the Holy Trinity. These Missionaries are centered in the Eucharistic Works of the Church and both have missions in developing countries. Members will be flown into Canada or invited to speak at the Our Lady of Victory site when visiting Canada and exchange work programs and working holidays will be offered with the intention of helping developing nations, furthering personal skills and shadow working with the option of becoming members or missionaries.
Pax Christi Project will have rooms available in the church and the adjoining house which it is intending to purchase for temporary shelter for the homeless and immigrants as well as counselling and other services which can be preformed by volunteer members and missionaries on exchange working vacations or the unemployed and disabled, if funding permits.
Ministerial Working relations are also planned with Heart of Mary Academy, Midland Pilgrimmage Walk and Canadian Eucharistic Ministies
TOUR DOGGIE
Project would fund and perform works determined to be of a charitable nature in the areas of tourism, artistic, historic, botanical and ecology.
Volunteers will be trained in fund raising, working with other community groups and special ..needs groups and work toward building an organization beneficial for not only the community of Milton, but the province of Ontario as well.
Focus work will be concentrating on seniors, the disabled (especially visually handicapped). Immigrants and homeless dogs and cats, with a view to addressing small to intermediate size projects either in areas not being served or strengthening and supplementing the efforts of other local groups
Advisory Committee Members of Project Tour Doggie would
consist of a CNIB client, person residing in Canada from another
Country , elder pastor or deacon of a church and member of
either historical or arts committee.
They would determine the need for a charitable work and
meet with others if necessary to achieve the charitable works.
Tour Doggie will negotiate with Zellers
for a co-operative booth mostly run by CNIB in Zellers to convert to a
Community Needs Centre and be given the same charitable benefits
as like operations, with working relations with various groups on a volunteer
manpower basis
Project MetroPlex
In order to house the various projects, three arena like structures, connected by a common hall will be constructed, using engineering and materials similar to Cornell 21 greenhouses. The MetroPlex is designed to be affordable, expandable, efficient and easily constructed.
General Note
Each of the above projects will have a separate operating manual, bank
account and group of advisors.
