Current Situation of the Patient: Sukumari
Sukumari underwent chemotherapy at National University Hospital of Singapore from 18th to 24th of May.
Now she is suffering a lot due to opportunistic infections which is usually the case after chemotherapy due to low white blood cell counts. According to doctors, it takes about four weeks to start picking up the white blood cell counts for her to gain natural immunity. To manage her during this crucial period, she was transferred to the Intensive Care unit.
As per attached hospital bill, the total cost up 14th of June is Sing Dollars 66,000 (US$ 40,000), and this cost was met by all of your generous donations and funds collected within the family circles.
We wholeheartedly thank you all the well wishers in Sri Lanka, United States, Australia, Canada and Japan. We regret that we cannot name all the donors by individual names as we don't want any single person to be missed by naming so. We give great value to all of your contribution and the blessings come along with it, which will definitely give very high positive impact to Sukumari for her struggle to save her own life.
We kindly request you to keep on collection of funds as the estimated expenditure for her medical management is around US$ 45,000 in addition to the expenses already met, before going for the Borne Marrow Transplant.
