SVARASANGA VANNAMA

This is a work for full Orchestra,Piano and Sri Lankan Drums.

It is interesting to note that Ravibandu Vidyapathi, the world famous percussionist made his debut with a Symphony Orchestra at the opening performance of this work.

The Colombo Symphony Orchestra which performed the piece was conducted by Dr. Earl de Foseka (29th of May 1992, at the Ladies College Auditorium).The Colombo Symphony Orchestra is now known as theSymphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka, or the SOSL.

The Piano was played by Sri Lankan classical pianist Ramya de Livera Perera.

The line up      was Tony de Silva (Vocals,Key-Boards), Donald Pieris( Vocals,Drums), Reza Deen (Vocals,Guitar),      Adrian Ariyaratne( Vocals,Bass) Harsha Makalande (Piano,Key-Boards).    See Concert Poster!
