| My very first "...of the Moment" is Candy of the moment. Of course it is The Chocolate frog, since that is the name of the site. I used the chocolate frog as the first "...of the Moment" to celebrate my opening of this site finally. | ||||||||||
| The Chocolate Frog: Chocolate frogs are chocolate candys shaped as frogs. These unique chocolates hop around almost like they were real frogs. Like in the first movie when Harry's chocolate frog lept away from him before he had a chance to eat it. "Chocolate frogs have cards inside them, you know, to collect--famous witches and wizards. I've got about five hundred..." -Ron (SS6) A few witches & wizards that appear on some of the cards are Dumbledore, Morgana, Hengist of Woodcroft, Alberic Grunnion, Circe, Paracelsus, Merlin, Cliodna, and Agrippa. "But Dumbledore says he doesn't care what they do as long as they don't take him off the Chocolate Frog cards"- Bill (OP5) |

| Recipe Chocolate Frogs
Note: Many candy supply stores sell plastic chocolate molds in the shape of frogs. Tiny candy eyes are available, too. Look in the Yellow Pages under candy-making supplies. Makes: 10 - 12 Frogs Ingredients: 1 (12-ounce) bag chocolate chips or 12-ounce bar chocolate, broken into pieces 1 teaspoon grated chocolate 1 plastic mold for bite-size chocolate frogs Small candy eyes Step 1. Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave chocolate on high power for 2 minutes. Stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second increments until chocolate is almost completely melted. Step 2. Remove from microwave and grate 1 teaspoon additional chocolate over the melted chocolate; stir until smooth. Step 3.Fill mold with melted chocolate, reserving about 1 tablespoon melted chocolate. Refrigerate molds until chocolate is firm, about 2 hours. Step 4. Remove frogs from molds. Step 5. "Glue" eyes onto the frogs with remaining melted chocolate. Store at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Thanks Bludgers 'N broomsticks for the Recipe! |
