The Banshee
A Banshee is a female spirit of the Gaelic and Celtic peoples, rarely seen but often heard. She is said to be a woman with staggling black hair and eyes red from weeping and dresssed in green robes and a grey cloak. She has a terrible cry. If a family hears it one of them will die , most likely the one that heard her first.
her name derives from celtic:    bean   seidh   = woman of fairies
