Information of the Uses of Acorns by the Miwok
Links to my Webpages
Acorns were very important to Miwok. They provided many foods, including porridge, mush, and were a medicine for some diseases. The Miwok thought of many other ways to cook and use them that we do not know of or I have not mentioned here. They came from the Blue Oak, the Valley Oak, and the Coastal Live Oak.
